Read Revelation 10
Think About It:
To me, it seems like this powerful angel described in Chapter 10 might be Jesus Himself and reminds us that He has been given all authority. And His voice is powerful as described by David in Psalms 29 as “God in the Thunderstorm”. Verses 5 and 6 remind us that God is faithful to His promises. He knows the end from the beginning – He has already seen how everything ends so we can be sure He wins! And if He wins, we win when we walk with Him! It’s comforting to know He is in control of everything going on around us. Daniel, Ezekiel and Jeremiah were also given scrolls to eat, the Word of God, which is sweet, bringing salvation and vindication to God’s people, and as we are instructed to not live by bread alone, but by every Word from God – but here it becomes sour because it is a word of judgment. Still, we are instructed to internalize/memorize God’s Word so we can share the Good News everywhere we go. As in II Corinthians 2:14-15, “God uses us to spread His knowledge everywhere like a sweet-smelling perfume. We are the sweet fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are being lost… to those who are being saved, we are the aroma of life that brings life!” Consider how you do that in your life, with the people you know and give thanks that He qualifies you to do this work!
