Read Luke 13
Think About It:
- According to verse 13, the lady with the bent-over condition received two blessings that day. The Amplified version reads, “Then He laid His hands on her; and immediately she stood erect again and she beganglorifying and praising God.” What two blessings did she receive?
- What do you believe is the motive of the leader of the synagogue in reprimanding Jesus for healing the bent-over woman on the Sabbath? What should it have been?
Family Time:
- Whether a person is killed in a tragic accident or miraculously survives is not a measure of righteousness. Everyone has to die, that is part of being human. But not everyone needs to stay dead. Jesus promised that those who believe in Him will not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16). Do you believe in Jesus?
- The effort we must put out to enter through the narrow door is earnestly desiring to know Jesus and diligently striving to follow Him, whatever the cost. We shouldn’t put off this decision because the door will not stay open forever. (verses 24-25)
