Read Psalm 11-12
Think About It:
Psalm 11
“Trials make the promise sweet; Trials give new life to prayer; Trials bring me to His feet—lay me low, and keep me there.” William Cooper
There are many fleshly reasons to want to get out of trials…not that we should enjoy them; however, we must find joy in being in our Savior’s presence in the midst of them.
- Why does he allow trials? (This is a part of why it helps us to go through them.)
- Why is it so difficult to go through them?
Psalm 12
- Why are our words not ever our own, whether Christian or not?
- The Word of God is perfect in every way! It will pass any refining process at any given time in history or future. How has man tried to convey that it is not perfect?
Family Time:
- Who did David take his refuge in? (verse 11:1)
- Are you careful how you use your tongue? Your words speak truth or lies.
- Do you know people that have lied, used flattery or deception to get what they want? Have you?
