Read Psalm 10
Think About It:
This Psalm affects us with a righteous anger toward the wickedness of those who oppress others, while at the same time heightens our sensitivity and compassion toward the misery of those oppressed. Many times, we cannot see the hand of God at work behind the scenes and it seems unfair. But we can be certain He sees it all and there will be justice. Toward the end of the Psalm, the writer realizes God is faithful and writes what he sees by faith. So, the lesson in this Psalm is we can be honest with God and pray against the unjust and lift up the oppressed, and in the end, we know He hears us, and we trust Him, leaving the situation in His hands. We cry out for God to bring justice with a firm belief that He will, in due time, bring about the perfectly appropriate response to those who have been injured while reckoning with the injurious. May His will be done here on earth as it is in heaven.
What do you need to pray about today that seems like an unjust situation? Be honest with God – He already knows what’s on your heart anyway. Then declare by faith what you know to be true about God’s character and show Him your confidence in His decisions, since His ways are higher than our ways. He sees the heart of each and every person and knows how to deal justly with each one. Praise Him for His justice in His perfect timing!
