Read I Timothy 2
Think About It:
This chapter highlights the importance of prayer and worship! Paul mentions four types of prayer in verse 1: Supplications are prayers that divert evil and negative circumstances. Petitions are prayers for spiritual and material needs. Intercession is prayer offered up on behalf of the needs of others. Giving thanks is a prayer praising God for what He has done. In verse 8 Paul encourages believers to “pray on every occasion with hands lifted to God in worship with clean hearts, free from frustration or strife.”
Spend some time practicing each of the four types of prayer he mentions and follow through practicing verse 8, even if you have never done that before. God is pleased when we apply His Word to our life. We must be pushed out of our comfort zones in order to grow! Thank Him for loving us enough to push us out of our comfort zones! Prayer is always aimed at drawing us closer to Him because He loves us so much. Return that love to Him with extravagant obedience.
Family Time:

- Jesus is the ONLY way to the Father…the ONLY way to heaven. He is the way, the truth, and the life!!!
