Read Ezekiel 37
Think About It:
- An important key for us is found in verse 3 – “can these bones live?” Are there areas in your life where you need God to put flesh on the bones and breathe life back into?
- Your devotions
- Your marriage
- Allowing God to be Lord of your life
- Your family unity, priorities, etc.
- Your witness
- Your thought life
- How does God want us to believe He is working? For our good and as part of His major plan (our good being included in that plan)?
Romans 8:28 (Amplified): “We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for those who love God and are called according to His design and purpose.”
- What is His goal for us in Romans 8:29?
Family Time:
- Do you think Ezekiel felt silly prophesying to a bunch of bones? Did he obey?
- The events of the Bible are even more amazing today when you can get a better picture of what happened. Can you get your hands on some bones? Maybe someone you know has some deer bones or your mom could make chicken legs for supper – those work best. Now you have a reason to play with your food! Pick apart the chicken leg. Look at how everything is attached. God took a bone that was old, dried up and bleached white by the sun. He restored it like the chicken leg – and beyond! Picture the skin coming back on the chicken leg. Picture the leg reattaching to the rest of the body, etc. What an amazing God we have!!
