Read Ezekiel 29
Think About It:
- Who did Ezekiel get direction from God to prophesy against in this chapter?
- What are some of the purposes in God causing judgment to fall on Egypt?
Family Time:
- The Nile was Egypt’s pride and joy. It was a life-giving river that ran through the middle of the desert. Rather than thanking God, Egypt declared, “The Nile is mine, I made it.” Do we do the same thing when we say, “I have built this house, church, business or reputation from the ground up?” Sometimes we take for granted what God has given us. He supplies the resources, gives us the abilities and provides us with the opportunities to make it happen. Instead of claiming our own greatness as the Egyptians did, we should proclaim God’s greatness and give Him the credit.
