Read Psalm 100-101
Think About It:
- Do you always serve the Lord out of gladness? Have you ever gone through a period where you did something out of your commitment only, or maybe even begrudgingly, and couldn’t wait to be done? Take some time to talk to the Lord about this.
- Psalm 101:3 speaks to not setting before your eyes anything that is worthless. Do you do this? This would include television shows, reading material, video games, etc. Do you need to make any changes? If so, come up with a plan to clear these things from your life.
Family Time:
Psalm 100
- It is comforting to know and be assured of God’s love for us. “It is He who made us, and we are His, we are His people, the sheep of His pasture.” Sheep love their shepherd because he provides, protects and cares for his sheep. God provides, protects and cares for His sheep—us! Shout for joy! Give thanks to Him and praise His Name!
Psalm 101
- Following Jesus means making intentional choices to live a blameless life. It also means that we ask for God’s help to do so, just as David did in this Psalm. List some of the things David said he would do. What are things you need to do or to avoid to lead a blameless life?
