Read Psalm 69
Think About It:
- David had many and various problems, yet when he confessed and prayed, God heard. How do you want God to hear your prayers? Could it be in verse 17?
- Parallels, to Christ, the Messiah, can also be drawn from this psalm. Look for the reproaches in verses 7-21 and the curses on Judas and the crucifiers of the Messiah in verses 22-28.
- Prayer and praise are the theme in the end of the psalm. What is David praising God for? (Hint: It’s something you should have.)
Family Time:
- David cried out until he was physically exhausted with a hoarse throat and blurred vision. Yet he still trusted God. Who do you put your full trust in?
- What problems did David face? (verses 7-12)
