Read Psalm 50
Think About It:
- The judgment of the Lord begins with the people of God as seen in Psalm 50. The Lord rebuked Israel’s ritualism, the empty repetition of religious ceremony. Sacrifices were of God’s appointment, but its significance had diminished. Is ritualism still an issue today?
- What is it that God desires above sacrifice?
- Asaph concludes the Psalm with an urgency to get right with God. God still desires a surrendered heart over ceremonial ritualism. Have you surrendered your whole heart to God?
