Read Job 12
Think About It:
Job is hurt and frustrated at the counsel of his friends. And more than a little insulted. Job lashes back. His friends have not told him anything he does not already know. He then passionately explains that even though he himself doesn’t understand, God knows what He is doing.
- How often have you struggled with your own trials only to realize when you finally turned it over to God that He was in control all the time?
- Every joy and every trial are planned events in God’s eyes. Praise Him.
Family Time:
- Why didn’t Job need his friends to explain God to him? (Verse 7-9)
- Did Job think his friends had misunderstood the reason for his suffering?
- Did Job understand the reason for his suffering?
