Read Esther 2
Think About It:
- Esther found favor and kindness first with Hegai and then with the king more than all the other women. God will give us favor with others in order to have a godly influence in their lives and use our testimony to impact others for eternity when we allow Him to work in and through us. That is why it is so important not to be led by our emotions, but in humility, maintain a teachable spirit, obey God’s Word and walk by His Spirit. Esther demonstrated humility, learned from Hegai and found favor with the king, so God could use her to accomplish His plans for the Jews. Are you humble? Ask God to show you His heart so you can surrender your will to Him and allow His Spirit to lead you to be the “royal priesthood” He has called you to be to accomplish His purposes in such a time as this.
