Read 1 Chronicles 14
Think About It:
- Do you think God approved of David’s extra wives? Why or why not?
- Do you ask God about every decision? If you don’t ask God and get a bad outcome, or not the outcome you want, are you aware that it could be because you didn’t ask God what He wanted?
Family Time:
- How did David know that the LORD had finally established him as King over all Israel? (verses 1-2)
- When the Philistines heard David was the King of Israel, they went after David, more than one time. What did David do in response? (verses 10 and 14) What was the outcome?
- What did David do to the gods the Philistines left behind?
- What do we learn about God and David from these events of David’s life?
