1. From what you know of “human nature,” did Moses have a right to be concerned by the request of the tribes of Gad and Reuben?
2. How do you think the men felt when they received the warning in verse 23?

2. In Numbers 32, were the Reubenites and Gadites trying to compromise with Moses? How do you think it made Moses feel?
3. What do you think it means that any Israelite tribe would consider settling outside the land promised to Abraham?
4. How do you think the other tribes felt about this? Do you think they were discouraged?
