Read Matthew 18
Think About It:
- Why is it better to go through life ‘maimed’ or ‘lame’ than to keep sinning?
- How many times should we forgive someone who asks for forgiveness?
- What should we do when someone sins against us? (verses 15-20)
- Who will not forgive us if we won’t forgive others? (verse 35, see also Matthew 6:14-15)
- The goal is always reconciliation and agreement.
Family Time:
- Just as a shepherd is concerned about one lost sheep to go and search the hills for it, so God is concerned about EVERY human being He has created. He doesn’t want anyone to perish (2 Peter 3:9). God rejoices when ONE who was lost is found. Praise God! (verses 10-14)
- In verses 21-22 Jesus answered Peter’s question about how many times we should forgive our brother. What was Jesus’ answer? What does that mean to you?
- We are to forgive our brothers from our ____________. (verse 35)
