Read Zephaniah 2
Think About It:
This chapter is an earnest appeal to God’s people to repent and make peace with God, to prevent the judgments threatened before it’s too late. It is a reminder to believers today, as well, to continually search our hearts and make sure there is nothing out of order. We need to ask the Holy Spirit to show us if there be anything within us that is out of line with God’s will, so we do not hinder His work. Take time every day to humble yourself before God and turn your ear toward heaven to straighten things out. May we never take for granted His grace and think we have plenty of time to get right with God.
Family Time:
- The first three verses of chapter 2 offer such a beautiful hope. How does verse 3 describe how we should live? What is the reward?
- How does verse 3 compare with the Beatitudes in Matthew 5?
