Think About It:
God very specifically directed Solomon in the details regarding the temple. This chapter makes it obvious how Solomon obeyed every detail in how the temple was furnished, knowing God had a reason for every little aspect. Now WE are God’s temple! And He has intentionally made you just the way you are for a very specific purpose. He took a lot of care and love in creating you to be who He wanted you to be, giving each of us gifts to accomplish His plans. Take a few minutes talking to Him to see what He says to you about your unique design and His purposes for you.
Family Time:
- So much care was taken in creating the temple, and the things in it. Why do you think this was so important?
- Read 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. Now, our bodies are the temple of God! Since your body is the temple of God (the place where He lives), how do you think we should treat/ take care of our bodies?
- How should we treat others, who are also the dwelling place for the LORD?
