Read Revelation 12
Think About It:
- There are several symbols in this chapter. The main ones are the woman, the male child, and the dragon. We see the persecution of God’s people by the dragon who wages war on the woman and her children (verse 17). The main points are the birth of the child (verses 1-6), the eviction of the dragon (verses 7-12), and the dragons attack on the woman and her children (verses 13-17). It’s interesting to note that Satan has already been kicked out of heaven before his war against the woman and her children on earth.
- How do we defeat him from our place in heaven with Christ and on earth? (verse 11)
- The dragon is furious because he knows his time is short. He makes war with the ones who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Hold on, we will win.
Family Time:
- By the description given in verse 3, draw a picture of what you think the red dragon looks like, which is Satan.
- Who fought the war in heaven? Who won?
