Read II Corinthians 11
Think About It:
There are so many distractions the enemy uses in this world to take our minds off from Jesus. Paul is teaching believers to remain pure and keep their passion for Jesus strong. It’s as if we, the Church, are “engaged” to Jesus, just as a young man or woman waits for their future spouse. It is easy to get sidetracked, tricked and pulled into other pursuits if we are not careful. Continually challenge yourself to go deeper into studying the bible, move outside your comfort zone in praise and worship, spend more time each day in prayer, fast and pray and give – more and more – to keep growing in your walk with the LORD. Getting closer to God is like rising in a hot air balloon… if you don’t keep the fire going, the balloon will eventually descend. Write down some goals as you prayerfully consider how you can grow closer to Jesus, remembering your first love. Keep the fire going strong!
Family Time:
- What did Paul not do that was different from the self-proclaimed ‘super-apostles’?
- Whose ministers did Paul say these were.
