Read II Corinthians 4
Think About It:
- Is it possible for believers to be blind to the truth?
- What does verse 12 mean? How does death produce life?
- Why should we not think our lives should be easy?
Family Time:
Paul, in this chapter, explains his ministry and how he is able to carry on with it, even when it is difficult. He is openly honest and direct with the Word of God. He preaches Jesus Christ as Lord and Paul’s role as a servant of Jesus. Paul is a humble man and dedicated to his Lord. He says in verses 8 and 9, “we are hard pressed on every side but not crushed, perplexed, but not in despair, persecuted, but not abandoned, struck down but not destroyed.” Paul’s task was not an easy one, but he was confident in the God he served!
Fill in the blanks: “So we fix our eyes not on what is ________ but on what is __________. For what is ________ is temporary, but what is ____________ is eternal.” What do you think this means? What is seen? What is unseen? Where do you fix your eyes?
