Read Acts 27
Think About It:
- This is the story of Paul’s voyage to Rome. How does this voyage show how God takes care of us in the midst of bad decisions being made around us?
- Circumstances were not good for Paul. He was a prisoner and went through a terrible storm, but he was not alone. Luke indicates that he was with Paul in this voyage and he also was given liberty to visit friends in Sidon. We do not need to be alone through our terrible trials and storms either. Look for others to be an encouragement to and allow them to also encourage you.
Family Time:
- In verse 9, it says they were sailing when the Fast was already over. That tells us it was mid-September to mid-November. This was a dangerous time to travel on the sea. What was Paul’s warning to the centurions? Did they listen to him? (verses 10-11)
- What happened after they started out to sea? (verses 14-15)
**Euroclydon is a strong dangerous windstorm on the Mediterranean sea.
- What message did an angel of God give Paul? (verses 21-26) Was the message of the angels true?
