Read John 7
Think About It:
- What is the Feast of the Tabernacles? Hint: Also called the Festival of Booths. Fraser Road celebrated this event a few years ago.
- Why were the people complaining about Jesus in verses 10-13? Why didn’t they believe He was the Messiah?
- After hearing all the disbelief, what was Jesus’ response in verses 37-39? Can you see the compassion of the Lord for people?
Family Time:
- Many people believed in Jesus but didn’t acknowledge Him in public. Why? (verse 13) How do you acknowledge Jesus to your family, friends, and neighbors?
- This chapter of John tells who or what many people thought about Jesus…that He was a good man…a prophet…a little delusional…demon-possessed…the Christ…His brothers didn’t believe in Him. One group of people, the Pharisees, wanted to take His life, supposedly because He broke the Law. Who really were the law breakers, the Pharisees or Jesus? Who do you think He is? Your eternity depends on who you know He is.
