Read Luke 5
Think About It:
- I love Peter’s statement in verse 5 in the Amplified version, “…but at Your word I will [do as You say and] lower the nets [again].” What can you imagine was going through Peter’s mind at this point?
- What was Peter’s reaction to Jesus when he saw all the fish?
- Have you taken Jesus at His Word at some point, not really sure how the end was going to turn out?
Family Time:
- What did Jesus ask Simon to do?
- Jesus didn’t tell Simon that he would catch any more fish, but Simon still listened to Jesus and let the net down. What happened when Simon let the net down?
- What did Jesus tell the men at the end of the story?
- What does it mean to be a ‘fisher of men’?
