Read Zechariah 10
Think About It:
God has always been the one who controls the weather. This is true for the fields as well as for our spiritual life. We need to ask Him for what we need (the rain). He always comes through for us. It is important that we remember His promises, ask and receive, and give Him the honor that is due to Him.
- For what should you ask in the time of the latter rain? (verse 1)
- What will the LORD do for the house of Judah and the house of Joseph? (verse 6)
Family Time:
- What will help God’s people feel brave in battle? (verses 5-6)
- What kind of battles do we have today? What might help you feel brave when you have a battle?
Another good reason to study God’s word is so when we have troubles today, we can remember stories like these. We can be sure that He will do the same for us – make us strong, protect us, defeat or enemies – as long as we obey and seek Him.
