Overview of the Book of Zechariah

Read Zechariah 1
Think About It:
- This prophesy is to the remnant who have returned to Judah from Babylon. The people are hard at work restoring the land, but God knows they have not returned to Him fully. In this prophesy God pleads for them to do so. In verse 6, what is their response to God’s plea?
- Reread verse 3, then read James 4:8. How are these pleas from God the same?
Family Time:
- How long did God’s people live under God’s judgment? (verse 12)
- In verse 13 God spoke words of encouragement and assurance. God promises that when we return to Him, He will heal us. Isn’t that comforting?
