Overview of the Book of Habakkuk

Read Habakkuk 1
Think About It:
- Look at the questions Habakkuk is asking in verses 1-4. Don’t you find yourself asking these very same questions today?
- God’s answer (verses 5-11) is the same for us today. Reread verse 5 and know that God is working. God does see what’s going on.
- Habakkuk ends (verse 12-17) with praise to God and faith that God sees what’s going on and will deal with Israel’s sin. Praise God in the midst of all that is going on in America today.
Family Time:
This book records the prayerful conversation between Habakkuk and God. Can you relate to Habakkuk? Do you regularly talk to God and turn to Him for understanding? Just as the LORD told Jeremiah in 33:3, “Call to me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” The LORD answers Habakkuk on a personal level revealing things He will do and how He will do it.
