Read Ezekiel 31
Think About It:
This fifth prophecy of Ezekiel against Egypt was only about one month before the final, catastrophic fall of Jerusalem (Judah).
- No king and no nation can escape Divine judgment. This chapter not only speaks to Pharaoh but the people of Egypt as well. Why did the prophecy speak of the greatness of Assyria?
- Who directed foreigners to cut down the mighty tree?
- Why did judgment come upon Egypt?
Family Time:
- Egypt saw the fall of Assyria, which was a mighty nation. An example of what would happen to them. Just like Assyria, Egypt took pride in its strength and beauty…this would be its downfall.
