Overview of the Book of Ezekiel Part 1

Read Ezekiel 1
Think About It:
Ezekiel means, “Strengthened by God.” After seeing the first vision of God’s glory, he would need God’s strength! He was also called the “Watchman” and “Son of Man.”
- Did God have to use such a vision just to get Ezekiel’s attention? When God wants to get your attention, what does He use?
- How did Ezekiel react to God’s glory? How do you respond to the glory of God? In awe and gratitude or in fear?
Family Time:
Memory Verse: Ezekiel 3:10, “Son of man, receive into your heart all My words that I speak to you, and hear with your ears.”
- Take time to read this chapter slowly. Try to imagine the vision that Ezekiel saw. There are a lot of details!
- Who is described in verses 26-28?
- Look up ‘Ezekiel Saw the Wheel’ on YouTube. There are several old gospel versions that are fun to listen to. Cedarmont Kids and Veggie Tales have a version of it too.
