Read Lamentations 3
Think About It:
- Even in the midst of terrible trouble and judgment because of their sin, what is it that brings them hope? (verses 21-24)
- What are we told is good for us to do? (verses 25-27)
- Why is it good to ‘bear the yoke’ in our youth?
- What did the Lord hear people say? (verses 55-56, 61)
Family Time:
- Verse 22, “Through the Lord’s mercies we are not _________________ because His compassion ______________ ”
- Jeremiah knew God’s faithfulness from personal experience. God had promised that punishment would follow disobedience and it did. But God also had promised future restoration and blessings. Jeremiah knew that God would keep that promise also. Trusting in God’s faithfulness day by day makes us confident in His great promises for the future.
