Read Jeremiah 30
Think About It:
- Even though the nation was experiencing famine, disease, and was being overrun by Babylon, Jeremiah (who was in prison) predicted that Israel would not perish as a nation, but God would restore them. What was Jeremiah to do with the words that the Lord spoke to him? (verses 1-2)
- What was God going to do to the nations where Judah was scattered? (verse 11)
- Why was the Lord going to restore health to Judah? (verse 17)
- There is SOMEONE who cares!
Family Time:
- Parents: if you have never discussed with your children, “Jacob’s trouble” now would be a good time to begin searching scripture. We need to learn to pray as the Lord directs, “Lord, please count us worthy to escape the wrath that is coming (Luke 21:36). There is a crown for those who are looking for and love His soon appearance (2 Timothy 4:8). Now is not the time to bury our heads in the sand. The joy of our Salvation is at hand and Jesus is coming to judge the earth. Parents, prepare your children’s heart for the Bible states in Luke 21:26 that “Men’s hearts will fail them for fear of what is coming on the earth.” We need to be prepared, oh Bride of Christ!
