Read Jeremiah 29
Think About It:
- Was the exile for their good or for their punishment, or both?
- How are they to live now?
- What are the promises in verse 14?
Family Time:
- Here we are in 2020, in a sense, captive like the Jewish were in Babylon. If this is God’s judgment on us, like it was on the Israelites, then perhaps we need to evaluate ourselves. We need to hear God’s voice in all of this and not listen to false prophets. If this is judgment, then we need to accept it and learn how to be a blessing to others and not dwell on the things we cannot change. How can you be a blessing to others during this time of life?
