Read Jeremiah 15
Think About It:
- The calamity that is to fall on the people of God will touch the life of Jeremiah as well. What is the promise to Jeremiah if he stays faithful to God?
- In reading the accounts of the anger of Almighty God against His people, I understand what Jesus took upon Himself at the cross. We would be in this same situation if it were not for the blood of our Savior, Jesus Christ. The human condition is the same in every generation. Oh, how we need a Savior.
Family Time:
- The Lord was very angry with His people. He said He would appoint four forms of destruction (punishment). What were they? (verses 3-4)
- Jeremiah was very upset with God’s judgement on the people. How does God reassure Jeremiah (make him feel better) in verses 19-21?
- In verse 19, God uses the phrase “if you return”. What is another word for return? “if you re_ _ _ _.” Remember there is always hope when we turn from our bad choices and change our ways.
