Read Jeremiah 7
Think About It:
- What did the people of Judah have to do to receive the blessing of the Lord?
- Do you believe that God not only sees your actions but knows the intent of your heart?
- God was not interested in Judah’s burnt offerings and sacrifices. This was God’s command, ‘Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be My people. And walk in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well with you.’ Is this still the commandment of God today?
- What do you do when you are chastened by the Lord? Do you find a way to dismiss the correction as the people of Judah did?

Memory Verse: Jeremiah 9:24b
- Who gets hurt when we turn away from God?
- What is a ritual? Can it be going to church, taking communion, teaching Sunday school, singing with the praise group? All are empty unless we are truly doing them for the Lord.
