Read Isaiah 33
Think About It:
- The theme of Almighty God restoring people and nations is repeated throughout the Bible at different times because God loves to restore us when we return to Him! I love verses 5 & 6 in Isaiah 33 (Zion represents where God dwells and today He dwells in us, His Church, so think of that as you read this). Use these verses and pray them to God: “Yahweh is high and lifted up; He dwells on high! He lavished His justice and righteousness on Zion! He will be your constant source of stability in changing times, and out of His abundant love He gives you the riches of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. Yes, the fear of the LORD is the key to this treasure!”
- Read and think about verses 15 and 16, as we consider God dwelling in us. Are you one who “walks with integrity and speaks what is true, who despises even the thought of cheating the poor, and does not accept a bribe, nor plot violence, nor contemplate doing evil?
Family Time:
- Read Isaiah 33:6 in The Passion Translation as follows: He [Yahweh] will be your constant source of stability in changing times, and out of his abundant love he gives you the riches of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. Yes, the fear of the LORD is the key to this treasure!
- Re-read Isaiah 33:13-24 in The Passion Translation (online if necessary) as a family. What a beautiful promise to those dwelling in God’s Kingdom.
