Read Isaiah 15-16
Think About It:
- Moab was the country of Ruth. Its origin was the incest of Lot with his daughter. The prophesy of destruction was given without any hope of change. Isaiah 16:6 contains reference to the sin of Moab. Is pride a serious sin? Did the prediction of total destruction of Moab cause them to call on the true and living God? (verse 12)
- We know that God is a prayer answering God. So, why wasn’t their prayer answered? (See Psalm 50:15; 1 John 5:14-15; Matthew 6:9-10)
