Read Proverbs 28
Think About It:
I think verse 26 sums up much of the book of Proverbs: He who trusts in himself is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom is kept safe. The Passion Translation says, “Self-confident know-it-alls will prove to be fools. But when you lean on the wisdom from above, you will have a way to escape the troubles of your own making.” The very first verse of this chapter tells us when we are right with God, we are bold as lions. Knowing you are living by the wisdom of God gives confidence He will help you through any situation. Take a few minutes to “pray through” this chapter again and see what God shows you about your life’s decisions and put His wisdom into action. Don’t forget to thank Him for helping you understand how to apply the Proverbs to your everyday life as your read through them.
Family Time:
- Do a google search of “Proverbs 28:7, Let God be True.” Listen to the Audio or read. This is very worth the read for your whole family!
- An excerpt from this….”Do you want to make your father happy? Then obey God’s commands and get away from those who play all the time….A father is honored when he knows that his son values God’s Words and sober, diligent living above all else in life….
