Read Proverbs 27
Think About It:
- Reread verse 4, in what way is jealousy worse than wrath or anger? What would be an example found in the Bible?
- Verse 7 can be applied to more than food. How could this verse apply spiritually to a nonbeliever who is satisfied with their life and who feels they are fulfilled? In this case, what would honeycomb represent?
Family Time:
- Proverbs 27 is full of relationship truths, and should be read often.
- Would people call you arrogant (full of self)? (verse 2)
- Do you vent out your anger? ( verse 3)
- Are you a jealous person? (verse 4)
- For older children: Do you lovingly tell your friends to stop sinning (as long as you yourself are not sinning)? The Bible says this is true friendship as we should love our friends enough to not let them sin! (verses 5-6)
- Do you try to get to know your neighbors? How can a neighbor that is nearby be better than a brother far away? What can you do to get to know your neighbors? (verse 10)
- Verse 23, if you are a leader or parent: do you know what is in the heart of those you are leading? Be diligent to KNOW the state of your flocks!
