Read Psalm 118
Think About It:
Psalm 118 is the last of the Hallel Psalms sung in Jesus’ day as part of the Passover ritual. Verses 1-4 call a congregation to declare Yahweh’s never ending mercy. The Psalm begins and ends with “Oh, give thanks to the LORD for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.”
- The psalmist put his confidence in God’s eternal love. God’s love is unchanging in the midst of changing situations, giving us security. Think of at least three reasons why it is better to put your trust and confidence in God rather than in man.
- What does the psalmist mean when he says, “The Lord is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation.”? How is God your strength? How is He your song? How does the LORD become our salvation?

Memory Verse: Psalm 119:105
- Each day we must put our trust in something or someone. If you trust a car to get you from one place to another, are you willing to trust God to guide you here on earth and for your eternal destination?
- In verse 22, what is a cornerstone?
- Who is our cornerstone?
