Read Psalm 108
Think About It:
- Meditation is the key to having a fixed heart. What are benefits of meditation?
- A little history on verse 2: “With reference to this passage the Talmud says, ‘A cithern used to hang above David’s bed; and when midnight came the north wind blew among the strings, so that they sounded among themselves and forthwith he arose and busied himself with the Tora until the pillar of dawn ascended’” (Charles Spurgeon).
- What sacrifices do you make to keep your relationship to the Savior a priority?
Family Time:
- Much of Psalm 108 is a repeat of other Psalm verses. There are other places in the bible where God says something more than once. Why do you think God does that?
- How important is our praise to God?
- Consider and read aloud verses 12-13. Contrast help from man versus help from God. Whose help do you seek first?
