Read Psalm 45
Think About It:
This picture of Jesus and the Church as His bride gives us a beautiful view of the kingdom of Heaven. Verses 3-5 speak of the glory of Jesus’ victories; verses 6 and 7 of the righteousness of His government; and verse 8, of the splendor of His court. In the second part of the chapter, we see the royal bride, His Church.
As you read through the verses, think of Jesus and our submission to Him above all else, the excellency of His government and our desire to become more like Him!
Ask Him to show you how you can help advance His kingdom in this earth and enlarge the territory over which He has given you influence: in your family, among your friends, in your church. Wait on Him to hear Him speak into your heart.
Family Time:
- How did Jesus put us in right standing with God?
- What does all of the Lord’s garments smell of?
- What kind of church is Jesus coming for?
- What is the church clothed in?
