Read Job 3
Think About It:
- Job begins to speak about his situation in chapter 3. Job cursed the day of his birth, the day of his conception, and basically just wants to die. Have you ever felt these raw emotions?
- The one thing Job did not do is curse God. In suffering do you curse God or just ask why like Job?
Family Time:
- Seven days have passed in silence since Job’s friends arrived. Who spoke first, Job or his friends?
- How many times does Job ask “why” in this chapter?
- If you were Job’s friend, would you be tempted to respond to your friend after they said they wished they were never born and repeatedly asked “why”?
