Read 2 Chronicles 31
Think About It:
- Idolatry was destroyed in all of Israel. When idols are removed, God’s order can be restored. What was restored? (verses 2-4)
- When everyone gives, there will always be more than enough. (verse 10) When God blesses you with extra, what do you do with it?
- Hezekiah did every work (verse 21) to seek his God with his whole heart. Do you serve like that? Are you prospering?
Family Time:
- Hezekiah commanded the Israelites to contribute (give) to the priests so they could be devoted to the Law of the LORD. They could spend all of their time working for the LORD instead of having to work for food, etc. How long did it take for the Levites to collect all of the offerings from the Israelites? (verse 7)
- Hezekiah did a lot of work for the LORD. How did he do this work – with what attitude? (verse 21)
- What was the result? (verse 21)
- Everything we do should be for the LORD. Do you do your chores or schoolwork like Hezekiah—with your whole heart? What would be different if you did everything with the same attitude as Hezekiah?
