Think About It:
- Why did Jehoiada, the priest, lead the rebellion? Could it have been he was out of a job, as the people worshipped Baal?
- Where was Joash hid so he wouldn’t be killed by Athaliah? Has God protected you from harm so He could use you later?
- Soon after Athaliah’s death, what did the people do? (verse 17) When we remove idols in our life, what does it make room for?
- Do you think Joash understood what being king meant? Are there people in our lives that help us when we don’t understand the place we’re in?

- How did Joash gain the throne?
- Athaliah had done great evil to gain control of the throne. What did she do and how did it end for her?
- In verses 16-19 what events show a change from the old evil ways toward more Godly ways?
