Read 2 Chronicles 11
Think About It:
- What was the true strength of Judah?
- In what way did Rehoboam follow after his father?
- What was the result of his actions?
- The results of our actions can have far reaching consequences. Our actions not only affect our lives, but also the lives of those around us for good or for bad. David’s weakness in regard to women affected Solomon. Solomon’s even greater weakness in regard to women affected his son, Rehoboam. What good or bad attitudes, habits, patterns of behavior in your life, do you see being played out in the lives of those around you?
Family Time:
- Why did the priests leave Jeroboam and go to Jerusalem, under Rehoboam?
- Who else left Jeroboam and why? See verse 16.
- What was Jeroboam doing that was wrong? See verses 14 and 15.
