Read 2 Chronicles 5
Think About It:
- All of the priests had to come out (verse 11) in order for God to come in. How could this be compared to our hearts?
- In verse 13, how important is unity in the church?
Family Time:
- When Israel brought the Ark into the temple, verse 6 says the people made more sacrifices than they could count. Read Hebrews 13:15-16. We are instructed now to continually offer the sacrifices of praise, to do good and to share. When is the last time you praised the LORD for all His goodness? Start now!
- Read verses 13-14. As the people praised the LORD together and focused on who He is, the place was filled with His glory—so much so that the priests had to stop what they were doing in there. What do you think God wants our times of worship and praise to look like?
- What do you think it would look like if God’s glory came and filled us in the place where we were worshiping and praising Him?
