Think About It:
David continues his meeting with all the leaders of Israel. He explains all that he has set aside for the building of the temple, including his own personal offering. This inspired others to give willingly also. With a heart filled with joy, David praised God. The following day they sacrificed to the LORD and pledged allegiance to Solomon as king. And so ended the reign of Israel’s greatest king. Verse 28 tells us “he died in a good old age, full of days and riches and honor; and Solomon his son reigned in his place.”
