Read 2 Samuel 22
Think About It:
- What are some of the things that David gives God praises for?
- What are some of the things that David counted on God for? (verses 25-28)
- How would you describe David’s heart toward God? Does that mean he did not sin?
- Do you base your decisions on God’s Word or on what you think is best for you (and/or your family)?
Family Time:
- Has God ever delivered anyone in your family from the enemy? If not, how has he protected you from the enemy?
- In this song David calls God by many names – 17 in all. Read Chapter 22 again. Can you find them all?
- In verses 5-7, how did David ask for help?
- In verses 20-25, what are the reasons David gave for God’s deliverance?
- Can you praise God like David did? Here are some ideas:
- Write a poem or song about God’s deliverance or protection in your life.
- Draw a picture of your favorite section of Chapter 22.
- Memorize your favorite part of Chapter 22 or write it out and hang it on your wall or fridge. Read it often and praise God!
