Read Deuteronomy 29
Think About It:
- The generation of unbelief had died, why was it important that the covenant be renewed?
- The miracles that God performed on behalf of the Israelites in and of themselves did not accomplish anything in the heart of Israel. If God were to do some of these miracles today, would it make a difference in your devotion to Him?
- The parties to the renewed covenant were those that stood before the LORD that day, i.e., men, women, children and servants. Who else was included in the covenant?
- In the midst of encouragement to obedience, Moses pauses to give a principle on how God speaks to us (verse 29). How does God speak to you?

Memory Verse:
Older & Younger Children: Deuteronomy 29: 4
In verse 4 Moses tells the people that they can’t seem to notice all that God has done for them.
- Are there things people do for you in your life that you don’t notice or acknowledge?
- Read verse 29 again and discuss what questions you would like to ask God about things you don’t understand about Him and His works.
* God is infinite and all-knowing. So much of His creation and ways we do not understand or know. How amazing He is!
