Read Deuteronomy 3
Think About It:
- Can you name the enemy giants in your life?
- What message does God give to you as He gave to Joshua (verse 22)?
Family Time:
- So far Moses has reminded the Israelites about their history, their failures and their victories. He takes a moment in Chapter 3 to encourage them with a promise of the peace and rest that is to come. How do you feel when someone encourages you? Who has God brought into your life to encourage you? Have you thanked God for your encouragers?
- How do you think the Israelites are feeling about crossing into the Promised Land at this point? What emotions might they be feeling? How do you think you would feel?
- Sometimes we give way to fear in the midst of life’s battles. As a result, we miss out on seeing the work of God in our lives. In what area of your life is God calling you to trust him more and not be afraid?
- The battle may surround us, but there is peace in the promise: My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest” (Exodus 33:14).
