Think About It:
- How would you feel about having to wait for the Lord’s direction before having to move on? What if it was a month?
- Could you imagine being cut off from God if you didn’t obey one command that he gave you? Has He ever asked you to do something that you didn’t do?

The presence of God was displayed to the people of Israel by a pillar of cloud during the day and a pillar of fire at night. When they moved, the people moved. When they stayed put, so did the people.
- Discuss what it would be like to have the pillars to show you the presence of God every day. Would it help you stay close to God? How do you think people who did not believe would react to such a sight?
